Pedigree Livestock Services is looking for a confident, approachable Area Administrator. You will be a key point of contact for members and clients, representing pedigree breeds and societies at shows, sales, and events, as well as supporting the smooth running of operations behind the scenes.

About the role

You will build positive relationships with farmers, breeders, and industry partners, making sure they feel supported and well informed. Alongside your office-based responsibilities, you will attend events and shows, where you will represent our clients professionally, answer queries in person, and help showcase their breeds and services.

Day to day, you will:

  • Support member services, including registrations, transfers, and enquiries

  • Help to coordinate shows, sales, meetings, and AGMs

  • Keep records, databases, and member information accurate and up to date

  • Assist with website content, social media posts and promotion of results and key dates

  • Liaise with breed societies, suppliers, and stakeholders to keep everyone informed

Personal attributes

Confident, enthusiastic and highly organised, you’ll bring a positive, can‑do attitude and a friendly, approachable manner, communicating comfortably with a wide range of people both in person and online. 

You have excellent planning, time-management and organisational skills, and you can stick to schedules and meet deadlines, even when things get busy around key shows and events. 

You are an active team player who is also comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your tasks and seeing them through. 

Due to the nature of the role, you will occasionally work evenings and weekends to attend shows, sales, and events. 

Desirable skills

  • Experience using social media, with an understanding of good practice, content planning and how to encourage engagement
  • A creative mindset, bringing new ideas and solutions for promoting clients and improving member experience
  • Strong record-keeping skills, ensuring data is handled carefully for data protection, confidentiality and financial purposes
  •  Good communication, Confident in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), IT, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A positive, professional, and adaptable attitude
  • Previous experience within the agricultural sector is desirable but not essential.
