Beltex Sheep Society moves to Pedigree Livestock Services
Pedigree Livestock Services (PLS) is delighted to announce its appointment as Secretary to the Brown Swiss Cattle Society (UK), providing dedicated administrative and member support for the Society and its breeders.
The new partnership will give Brown Swiss breeders a clear, friendly and dependable point of contact for membership, registration and general enquiries, while helping the Society build on the enthusiasm and commitment already shown by its members across the UK.
Brown Swiss cattle are admired for their longevity, soundness, calm nature and ability to produce high-quality milk. The Society plays an important role in bringing breeders together, maintaining the Herdbook, promoting the breed and encouraging the continued development of Brown Swiss cattle within the UK dairy industry.
PLS will work closely with the Society’s elected Council, volunteers and members to ensure that enquiries are handled promptly and that breeders feel well supported. The role will include membership administration, communications, Council and committee support, liaison with Holstein UK, financial administration and assistance with the Society’s events, open days and show activity.

We want members to know there is always someone at the end of the phone or email who can help, provide guidance or make sure their enquiry reaches the right person.
“The Society has a strong base of committed breeders and volunteers. By providing reliable office support behind the scenes, we hope to give the Council more capacity to focus on supporting members, promoting the breed and creating new opportunities for Brown Swiss cattle across the UK.”

The Council is made up of volunteers who give their time to the breed, and this appointment provides a strong foundation for the Society’s day-to-day work.

The Brown Swiss Cattle Society (UK) will continue to be led by its elected Council, with PLS working alongside the Council to support the Society’s members, safeguard its Herdbook and encourage a positive future for Brown Swiss cattle in the UK.
